After getting through tough winter weather, nothing can perk up a gal’s spirits more than a new spring look to try out. This look accentuates the eyes and lips, making it a great dramatic look for a spring evening wedding or any other special occasion. For more of a daytime look, lightly apply the colors. For evening, build the color for more intensity.
This spring look will work for every skin tone and eye color. It is not the best option for those with blue eyes, but it can still be pulled off. Just know that this spring beauty look will not enhance blue eye color the way it will other colors. But it is definitely a season of color, so if blue is not your choice, try a forest green or a vibrant purple.
Products Needed:
- Eye shadows in frosted vanilla, frosted chocolate brown, a matte navy blue
- Black eyeliner
- Black mascara
- Golden bronze blush or bronzer
- Berry lip liner
- Berry lipstick
- Shimmery berry lip gloss
- Makeup brushes
For the eyes:
- Start by applying foundation and cover any skin imperfections with a concealer. Set with a light layer of loose powder to keep makeup on longer and shine resistant.
- Apply the frosted vanilla eye shadow to brow bone, lid and along the inner corner of the lower lashes.
- Then apply the frosted chocolate brown eye shadow on the lid of the eye and blend with the frosted vanilla eye shadow.
- Next apply the matte navy blue eye shadow along the lashes and into the crease of the eye. Blend with other eye shadows. Also apply along the bottom lashes. Remember to use a matte eye shadow for this step. It is never good to use three frosted or shimmer eye shadows at one time. At least one should be matte.
- Apply the black eye liner to the upper lashes and softly blend it along the lower lashes as well.
For the cheeks:
- Apply the blush to the cheek bones and blend. Remember to keep it natural.
For the lips:
- Line and fill in the lips with the berry lip liner. This will help keep lipstick on throughout the day.
- With a lip brush apply the berry lipstick. Make sure to blend the lipstick with the lip liner.
- Apply the berry lip gloss to the center of the top and bottom lip.
Tip to Remember: Using neutral shades of eye shadows with a deep color such as navy blue in this look will enhance the eyes and make them more noticeable and flattering.
